Sophie's Barbie Fashion Show

She dressed up some of her barbies and wanted them to do a fashion show for us, complete with music and poses.

 Here she is at the end having them all "walk" down together. 

 She had them in color coordinated ensembles. So cute! This was the blue/teal group.

Riding go karts. Sophie had so much fun. When I would go super fast. She would just belly laugh. She LOVED it!!!

Falafel Wrap

I made these for dinner the other night and they were FABULOUS!!! I had to take a picture!

 We bought pre-made falafel mix from our favorite Egyptian, Victor for super cheap. I pattied them up and formed them into cakes and froze them all. When I want to make them, I just defrost them in the microwave and put a little oil in a pan and pan-fry them until warmed through. They are so yummy and crusty on the outside. I put these with the naan bread from Costco that was warmed up along with lettuce, home-grown tomatoes, sliced red onions and a "green yogurt" sauce I made using a container of plain coconut yogurt and 1/2 cup of veganaise with the juice from one lemon, a little salt and some dill weed. If I would have had a cucumber on hand I would have chopped that up too, but unfortunately I didn't. It was 'restaurant quality' as Vernon would say. So, so good!!!

All day long play date

Ani spends some days with her grandparents while her parents work and she's not in school yet. Ani's grandma loves to have Sophie come over and spend the day with them! Today I dropped Sophie off with Ani for an all-day-long playdate. They swam most of the day and had a tea party and lots of other fun things!

Lunch at School

Sophia and I wanted to go have lunch with Vollen before she started school next week.

 It was cute to see all his friends at school. They were all asking him, "Vollen, is that your mom?"

We had fun eating lunch with him today. 

I think he was so excited that we were in his school, the rules went out the window. He ran out of the lunch room when we were done all the way back to his room without permission. He wouldn't listen to the para or stop for her or me. He put his lunch back where it went and acted like nothing was wrong.
