Sprayground

Going here was a quick, last minute decision after naps. The water was really cold and it was a really nice day out. It might have felt a little better if it was hotter out, but I'm not complaining! It was so beautiful out today.
Sophie was timid at the beginning.

There wasn't a whole lot of people there, which was nice.
Bubba was freezing.

Sophie got a little more brave as time went on.

Poor Bubby.
Sophie was freezing, her teeth were chattering.

When we were leaving the sprayground my mom noticed this burn and blisters on Vollen's forearm. We didn't know where he had gotten burned and were trying to think. When we got home the kids continued to play in the pool on the back porch. My mom asked if Vollen had gone over the sliding door thresh hold today. I thought back and Sophie was in and out all afternoon and Vollen likes to sit there and watch her out the door. He did slip out a couple times when she had opened the door. He must have burned his arm on the thresh hold because it does get SUPER hot and the burn was in 3 lines. Poor thing. I felt HORRIBLE!!! He didn't seem to be too bothered by it at all. He never cried or seemed in distress. I gave him a little Motrin just to insure he wasn't hurting.

Kicker

Tonight after dinner we went for a walk. We drove to a neighborhood that was older and has a lot of character. It was fun seeing the different house and landscaping and just having something new and interesting to look at during the walk. Daddy and Sophie kicked the ball around before we started walking.
My future soccer player!
She had so much fun running around and playing with her daddy.
She was giggling so hard she fell over a couple times.

Pit stop to feed Bubby, who was falling asleep on us.

Silly Sophie

New word: Blueberry

Sophie wanted to go put her pj's on that were like Bubby's. She only sleeps in her underwear, so when she saw Vollen's pj's she wanted to go put hers on so she could look like him.
Being goofy this morning.

Eating the bear's foot.

We had banana and berries smoothie for lunch. Yummm
Filling up the pool.

Vollen was outta here when it was a little too cold for him yet.
He enjoyed splashing from outside the pool.
After nap it was warmer.

Sun bathing beauty

During our Private Speech Therapy session today we were feeding Vollen. We have been trying to get him to verbalize when he wants something. A grunt or any sound that signifies "I want that" or "I want more, please" and make him say something, anything before I give him a bite of food. Well, today Mr. Show off was a talking machine. We were feeding him berries. And we were shocked and flabbergasted that he was trying to say blueberry, raspberry and blackberry. I had to grab the video camera and get in on tape to prove that he really was trying to say it.

Then when we were outside playing in the pool. I taught him the sign for HOT because he kept wanting to crawl over to the sunny side of the porch and I was trying to tell him it was hot. Well, he picked up on it super fast and kept signing HOT over and over again. It was really neat to see. I got it on video, but they were all too big of files to put on here. I am going to see if I can work on them to get them smaller so I can post them. They are really cute.

Super Mom's Dinner & Drinks

A group of us DS Moms decided to get together for dinner & drinks tonight. We went to Cheeseburger In Paradise.
Here is Jaeme, Kalyn & Tracy
Buffy, Megan and I

Roberta and I

We had a fun evening talking and getting to know each other a little better. It was nice and relaxing to hang out with the moms! I always have so much fun when I am with them!

Nice Day

We got going early this morning and went to Village Pointe to go to Baby Gap. I went last week and they had this fabulous sale where their sale items were an extra 40% off. I had gotten some really great stuff for Sophie for REALLY cheap. Like shirts for $2, yoga pants for $3 and dresses for $7. Anyway, I really wanted to go back and see what else I could find and I really, really wanted to get these black yoga pants that I didn't get her last week. Well, I didn't know that Village Pointe stores didn't open until 10, so we had to wait around a little while because I went too early. So we hung out and walked around the mall. It was beautiful out and we had fun just being out of the house. So, we went into Baby Gap and that really great sale was over and their sale items we way picked over. So, didn't get what I wanted : ( but it was at least nice to get out.
Sophie was loving running around back and forth to me.
Vollen was snoozin'

Dancing.

Sophie was being so funny playing with this bear. She was talking to it and making up this elaborate story.
Look at her face. She was pretending to be frightened and scared and she was 'acting' out a scene. I swear she is SOOOOOOO dramatic! I think it's helarious.
Laughing and being goofey.

Here Sophie was pretending to be riding a skateboard. I didn't even know she knew what a skateboard was.
Just playing around with Bubs.
