Pirates Cove Water Park

Tonight we headed over to Council-tucky for an ODSPN family event at Pirates Cove Water Park. We had the place to ourselves (all 300 of us) from 6-9. They had dinner (chicken, fruit, chips, cookies, water and juice for the kids). We had fun talking to all our regular friends and seeing and meeting some new faces!
Brady (it was his birthday today, the big 2 AND he became a big brother on Wednesday ~ Jen was a month early) I was and still am in shock. She wasn't there tonight. Baby Mallory is jaundice and needed her light therapy. Vollen, Francesca & Matteo. We were waiting to get in. When we arrived there was a police cruiser there and something was going on that they needed to take care of before we could be let in.
Everyone was hot and wanting to get in!
Finally, they opened the doors.
Sophie went down the little Pirates ship slide.

Vollen wasn't too thrilled about the water in the beginning.

Kisses for mama.
Jaimie and Francesca.
Wesley & Jessie.
Jeff with birthday boy Brady.
Janessa.

Sophie's peeking over the ship.

We took a group photo.

Practicing going under. She did pretty good.

A day for haircuts

A strawberry pie my very pregnant neighbor brought over for my birthday! How sweet!!!
Yummy cream cheese filling on the inside!
Sophie still taking naps and falling asleep at bedtime on the couch. : ( We talked today about how this is not a permanent thing and that she is going to have to start going in her room to sleep. I asked her what would help? She said how about a flashlight. I said we can do that! So maybe there is hope!
Sophie got her hair trimmed today. Stacked in the back and the rest just cleaned up and she bobbed it. I love it!
Vollen also got a hair buzz today. His hawk has been getting a little too long. So we trimmed that and then daddy went in with the clippers and HACKED it. Oh well, at least it will grow back.
Bubba not liking this haircut as much as the first time.
He did ok though.
Daddy was playing and slicking it back. He also tried a comb over and my baby looked like Hitler....um.....no!

There we go!
So Vernon read that there is a holistic way to cure his restless leg syndrome without medication. You just put lavender on your legs and it is supposed to relax them. Well, he bought this lavender soap at Whole Foods and he tried it. It actually works. When you just place the bar of soap on your leg something magical happens and the lavender seeps into your leg. You don't have to rub it, you just set it on top of your leg. We tried it and when you put the soap on one leg and not the other you can totally feel a difference after like 10 minutes! It's crazy. Vernon got me one too. But a lot of times we just like the smell of it and just set it on our chest and sniff it. It smells good and helps us relax and unwind. So, Sophie sees us doing this all the time and then she wanted to do it. She took my soap and went and sat in her chair and sniffed it. It was so funny.

My Day

Morning snuggles from my two peanuts (Vollen is still waking up I think).
Givin' mama birthday kisses.
Vernon took a lunch today and a long one at that! I picked him up and we went downtown to our favorite Indian restaurant, Flavors. They have the buffet at lunch, so it's super cheap and you get to try all kinds of new things. Almost everything I had was great. We had a lot of extra time, so we decided to go have tea! I think Vernon was saying in the picture that I was OLD, hey!

We had hot tea there and iced to go! Fun! Grandma & grandpa S. watched the kids during our lunch date.
Then I dropped Vernon off at work and went home. The kids were napping so I worked out. Vollen wasn't acting like he felt good later on in the afternoon. I fed him and then he fell asleep on me for 2 hours.
Heather came to babysit while we went to dinner. Vollen was still acting clingy. I took his temp and it was 101.4. I felt around in his mouth and was shocked to feel a great big new molar coming up. It was already almost fully visible. Poor thing was teething. I gave him some Motrin and he ate cereal and went to bed.
Poor Bubba. : (
I have been craving Sushi, so we went to Baby Blue. We have never been there before. It was good. We had fun.
It was loud in there though, so we couldn't really talk very easily. It was still fun. We had green tea. Yummm! I am so full from today, I ate too much, but it was so good! I had a nice birthday. I still only feel about 26 maybe 27! So that's good I guess. Maybe it's working with all of my young co-workers that makes me feel not as old! : )
