CO Visitors

My friend Tina was in town from Colorado visiting her in-laws for Spring break. She stopped over tonight with her girls to visit us and meet the baby.

The girls had so much fun playing together.
We all rode together to go pick up the pizza.

They played dress up.
And put on a show for us.
Vollen had fun watching all the commotion.
The girls wanted to hold the baby.

Bubble Tea

Today I was right by the Tea Smith, so how could I not run in real quick and grab some tea!

I got the iced Bubble Tea again, but this time with Coconut Jellies instead of the Black Tapioca Pearls (that tasted like prunes). The jellies were really good, sweet and just like coconut jello cut into little rectangles. I got peach flavored green tea. YUMMMMM
It was yummy and I did feel a tiny bit guilty that Vernon wasn't with me to enjoy it.

Back to work

Today was my first day back to work. Actually, it went really well and was kind of nice being back. It was only a half day and was pretty quick. The baby didn't do too bad being away from his mommy. I am a little worried about 8 hours away from him. I am slowly getting back to part-time. A little tired today, but baby let me have a little nap today. I don't work on Saturday, but I do on Sunday. We will see how it goes.

My friend Jen and her baby Stevie stopped over today after she got off work. We visited while the kids played. Stevie just turned one. He is a busy boy investigating everything.
Vernon thought it was funny that I was multi, MULTI-tasking tonight. Watching tv, nursing the baby, working on the computer, going through paperwork and signing a paper for him. The baby was buried

Sophie told me today, "Mom, why do you call me sissy? I don't want you to call me Sissy anymore, I want you to call me Sophie." Okay, yes ma'am!

Dentist

The kids had their dentist check-ups today. They both did excellent! Sophie has no cavities and Vollen was very cooperative. I thought I heard him squaking when I was sitting outside, but when I went in and asked they said that wasn't him, he was perfect! Wow, why can't he be that good for me??? Then we had early intervention therapy at the house. Vollen is working on completing tasks even when he gets frustrated or wants to quit. He is displaying typical 2 year old behavior : ( but still doing well with cognative tasks.
I am getting more and more used to this dairy/soy free diet. I am also getting used to reading labels. There is so much soy in everything. Yikes! Anyway, I had a fabulous lunch today. A turkey burger with carmalized onions on a chibatta bun with a hummus spread.
I made this mash the other night. It's califlower, sweet potato and red potatoes boiled with chicken stock, garlic and salt & pepper all pureed. It was great. One of my favorite dairy free things has been my butter. It's Smart Balance Light with Flax Seed, which we were eating before and was so pleased to find out that it is soy and dairy free. Yay!! It's nice to be able to add that flavor to recipies.
This yummy fruit smoothie. Bananas, strawberries, champagne mango, carrots, fresh squeezed oranges & some Odwalla juices.

2 Breakfastes

Since this was my last Sunday before returning to work, we wanted to go out one more time.

Kisses from Bubba. Our little girl is looking so old.

We have been meaning to trim Bubba's hari for a while now. We end up putting him to bed and forgetting to do it. It is getting REALLY long, TOO long! By the way, do you realize how hard it is to order breakfast items without dairy? Nearly impossible and definitely not as tasty. : (
Vernon went to work and I took the kids to meet my dad's side of the family at another breakfast. That was the most turn out at a Sunday breakfast that we have had. Usually, it's just whoever can make it, but this Sunday, we had nearly that whole side!

Some of what it looks like when he is in pain after feedings.

One Month

Sophie wanted to shovel the porch. I let her.

I really need to get her a new wardrobe. Her pants are all getting too short.
My pretty little girl. His Mohawk is so long, it can go in a pony.

Or piggys.
I never did this with the other kids, but always wanted to. I finally had a moment to make the sign, so we are 4 days late.

Aaaaaaa
