Monkeys Jumpin'

Sophie is really into seeing the photos I take of her or the videos right when I am taking them. In this video she is wanting to see what I am filming and not wanting to 'perform' for me. All day yesterday she would randomly start dancing and singing 5 Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed. She really gets into it and I wanted to get it on video, but she just does a little bit of it on here. : ( I need a hidden camera to capture her being goofy!!!

Walk this way

Sophie has been itching to go on more walks since the first one we went on. She kept saying, "walk" when we were both in and leaving the grocery store meaning she wanted to go for a walk outside because it was so beautiful out and then she kept saying it when we got home when I was putting things away. I kept telling her that we would go in just a minute.
I decided to take Raja this time and get her some exercise too. It was difficult juggling Sophie, Raja, and being 30 weeks prego especially when Raja saw another dog across the street and almost yanked us both over there with her. After that, it went pretty good. I kept telling Raja to stay on the sidewalk and then Sophie kept saying, "Sophie, sidewalk". It was cute. I kept saying yes, you are doing a good job staying on the sidewalk! She does so good holding my hand then entire time. She loved her walk. Daddy is going to take her tomorrow too.

Why are colds so miserable?

In the middle of the night on Friday I started getting a cold. I totally jinxed myself because just that night I had said that I hadn't had a cold since Thanksgiving and that one lasted so long that I thought my body was immune to colds for the rest of the season. No such luck. I am trying to wash my hands a lot and not kiss on Sophie too much. So far she hasn't gotten sick, but she and Vernon have had random sneezes. I hope we can get by with just me getting it and not keep passing it around the house.
This one seems to be really awful. There is only a limited selection of medicine I can take and usually Sudafed works really good, so good that I can tell right when I am due for the next dose. But this round I can't tell any difference between taking it and not. I have been sleeping horrible, not from the baby, but because I am congested and my throat is dry and I can't breath and my whole body aches especially my neck, it is really inflamed. I am so tired, but don't sleep hardly at all. It really sucks.
Today after my second nap I took a LONG, hot, steamy shower with the door closed and the light off and let the steam break up my nasal congestion. And let the hot water beat on my achy neck and back. It was nice, I didn't want to get out. I think I used up both of our water heaters water! It was worth it! Hopefully this cold will not last as long as my last one (that one was longer than a month). YUCK!!!

Soooooo W.T.

Today we decided to go walk around Cabellas, yes, that's right walk around Cabellas and look at all the stuffed animals. What the?!?!?! I know, I know, how much more hick can we get than that? BUT, it was free, indoors, and yes fairly entertaining. Oh, and we also looked like tourists taking pictures of all the animals. Ha!

Sophie saw some live fish (mostly catfish) swimmin' around.
She saw moose, deer, beavers, bears, elk, foxes, jackrabbits, etc... Vernon and I both commented that the stuffed desert animals here were sadly, kinda better than the desert dome animals at the zoo.

I hope she doesn't have nightmares tonight. Some of them were pretty scary.

Blueberry Pancakes

Today for family day I made delicious blueberry, banana, applesause, walnut, wheat pancakes.
They were yummy! Sophie ate the whole thing.

This one was made with Mango, Banana, Spinach Leaves, Strawberries, Blueberries, Red & Green Grapes, Vanilla Yogurt, Orange Juice, Vanilla Almond Soy Milk Protein Drink, & Ice.

Good Memory

Sophie was sitting on my lap and she reached for the phone. She wanted to call grandma. I told her grandma was at work. She looked at me and said, "School?" I said how did you remember grandma was at school? I really couldn't believe it. She just smiled and said school again. Too cute.

Fancy Hat

Sophie went in the laundry room today and put on her hat and came out to show me. She has been wearing it all day on and off.

Mama's Boots

Sophie drug my snow boots out of the laundry room and wanted to put them on.
I think she looked so funny in them, they were so big on her.

My Valentine's Present

Here is Sophie all bundled up for the second time out in the snow on Friday. We were watching daddy snow blow before starting work on the back porch.
Sophie was such a good helper.

She loved pushing the snow around.

She didn't want to come back inside and fought me kicking and whining. She calls the snow, "No" and she kept saying "No...fun!" She was having so much fun she didn't want to stop.

Vernon finally got to use his snow blower. It hasn't been used in 2 years!!! It worked AND had enough gas in it!

Here he is making our Valentine's homemade pizza on the grill. A favorite of both of ours!!!

It was yummy. And the leftovers tonight are even better!

Family Snow Day

Finally, a snow storm worth mentioning this winter!!!! Yea!!!! I was hoping we would have more than one of these (and we possibly still could). Sophie got to play outside in the snow a little bit today.

Don't Ask

Sophie striped down today and wanted to wear her 'jacket' is what she calls it.
She looked so funny running around in just her vest and diaper. Hey, at least she had a diaper on right? Some days we are not so lucky. We kept trying to get her to put her pants and shirt back on, to no success.

Bow-Grace-Ous!

We got a little package in the mail a couple weeks ago. Some friends of ours sent us a couple bows for Sophie from their new business. Sophie loves them and actually keeps them in her hair!
