Halloween 2011

After naps (for the boys only) and recooping from the busy morning, we got ready and were on our way to grandma & grandpa schlueters house.

We tried Dorthy's red lips this round. She did goo. Didn't get anything on her dress!

She fell asleep on the way over. Tired Dorthy.

Hey Lion.

Cousin Isabella and Kiera were over there too. We got to say hi!

Crabby Lion

Tantrum Lion

They all got to play together for a minute.

Vollen had fun trick-or-treating. He said thank you and blew kisses and said Bye and bye bye. They loved him.

Best Friends & Next Door Neighbors

There off to see the wizard.

Then we ran over to grandma & grandpa Lindeman and got their picture taken.

Halloween School Party

Well, this was my very first time being a classroom mom (it's right up my alley). I had tons of fun planning the whole thing and getting help from my co-classroom mom.

We took a class picture at the beginning.
So CUTE! It's a little lop-sided with boys. There are 11 boys in her class and only 6 girls.

Getting them split into groups.

We had different stations since there are so many kids. This was the "Pin the nose on the Pumpkin" station.

Sophie's 'nose' was in the corner of the mouth!

My co-classroom mom had that bubble fog machine. I still can't get over how cool that thing it. The fog is inside the bubbles and when you pop it the fog escapes spookily. SO, SO COOL!!!

We had a glitter pumpkin station. They glued and glittered the pumpkin stems and drew with markers on the pumpkin part.

This is Kim my co-mom. Another mom wanted to get this cake from Nothing Bunt Cakes for the class for Halloween. Which was nice, but we had planned to get popcorn colored orange, yellow & black and mixed with white and mixed with candy corn. So, we scratched our idea and just had her cake. It really didn't matter in the end. They liked the cake, but I think they would have really liked the popcorn. We had a 'Tootsie Toss' station. Kinda like the Bozo Shows Grand Prize Game. if they made it in the bucket, they got to keep the candy! If they made it in the last one they got the grand prize. Luckily only one boy got it!

I found her reading a book by herself.

Then we had the "Mummy Wrap" Game. They liked that.

This mom was the mummy and all the kids got to wrap.

Sophie's group

They had their snack and drink and we had treat bags for them and handed out the big prizes for the winners of the games.

The noses

Sophie loved the fake fangs.

All the extra mom helpers thought we did such a great job. So organized and fun. Even the teacher said this was the easiest class party she has ever had. She didn't have to do anything. She just got to go around and take pictures! Everyone had fun!

Then I made mummies for lunch.

The kids thought they were neat.
