I really haven't had much to write about the last couple days, but last night warrants a post. We had a horrible night last night. I don't know what Sophie's problem was, but she was up crying every stinkin' hour starting at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and then we all got up at 7:30am. It was so annoying and I think that once she starts crying and not sleeping good, it just turns into a habit and she keeps doing it. We will definitely be napping today.
I searched around for any new teeth in there this morning thinking that may have been the problem. I did find a new one, so maybe that was the reason. Whatever it was, I hope it doesn't continue.

Morning Sickness : (
This morning at 3:00am I woke up with terrible nausea. It lasted all day, coming in waves throughout the day. I never ended up actually throwing up, but just feeling like I needed to. Nothing really makes it go away. Eating a little something seems to take the edge off, but it's kind of difficult to shove something down when you don't feel like your stomach can handle it. This is all new to me, because I was never nauseated when I was pregnant with Sophie. It's not horrible and it's definitely worth it, just not as easy. Just like with Sophie I have known since the beginning what the sex of the baby will be. I KNOW that I am going to have a boy and I have said that before I was even pregnant. I just know. So, this nausea is confirming it even more so in my mind. Just want it on record so I can say "I told you all so"!!!

Park Fun
We were the only ones at the park for the entire hour and a half we were there. It was nice. Sophie had so much fun. She would run from the swings to the slide and climb up all the stairs and then do it all again stopping for a quick drink of water every now and then. Her little face was so red when we left she was sweaty and hot, but had a lot of fun.

First Appointment
Well, today was my first prenatal appointment. Everything went really great. I weigh exactly what I weighed when I was first pregnant with Sophie. Blood pressure was really good. She did a vaginal ultrasound and we saw only ONE baby and it's little heartbeat and the perfect circle sack around the baby really clearly. I was a little nervous taking Sophie to this first appt. since it is a little longer with the pap and physical and all. I needed her to be content and occupied for a long time. I made a wave bottle with all kinds of glitter and trinkets and sequence in it with baby oil and water and blue food coloring. I glued the cap and didn't bring it out until we got in the room. She really liked it and of course kept saying "What's that" while looking around inside it. I got her a new little book and a travel magnadoodle and had an apple and grapes on hand. She did pretty darn good. There was only really one time when she started getting antsy and whiny. We were there for about 2 hours total ( I also had to go get lab work done so that took some extra time), so I thought she held out pretty good overall.
On our way out I let her walk and push the stroller to the car. I knew she needed to stretch her legs and move a little after sitting that whole time. She was pushing the stroller with me holding on too and she was getting a little fast and fell 2 times and scraped her knees up a little. They were just a little red and barely broke the skin. I don't even think she felt it, she was just excited to be done!
So, I am glad everything went good today. It is kind of a relief after that first appt. to make sure everything is developing as it should. She calculated and my new due date is Monday, May 4th. So, we will probably schedule the c-section for that day.

Watchin' Daddy
Vernon was mowing his parent's lawn today. Sophie just loves watching her daddy out the window. He went in and grabbed the camera and took some picts of her from outside.
Free Stroller
Yesterday we brought the umbrella stroller (that came with our other stroller) out of the basement and let Soph play with it and push her baby around in it. I just knew she would love it. She also likes to climb up in it and just sit. It has become the best free toy ever!!!

Baby
This morning Sophie was looking around for her baby doll. I started saying mommy has a baby in her tummy and pointing to my belly. She was so cute. She started pointing to and tapping her belly and saying baby. I said, yes mommy has a baby brother or sister for you in her tummy. I asked her if she wanted a baby brother and she nodded her head yes. She came over and pointed to my belly and said baby. I said yes, mommy has a baby. I don't think she quite gets it yet, but it still was really cute.

Favorite day of the week
We had a nice, relaxing family day today. The weather ended up cooperating with us. We got a lot done around the house and went for a walk around the lake. I love the extra help I get when V's home. It's definitely my favorite day of the week!!!

The First Tantrum
Well today we had our first tantrum. Yep, that's right definitely a tantrum. It was in the afternoon after her nap and I pulled out a new box of organic cookie crackers. Well, I gave her one. She loved it and wanted another one. I told her to say please. She wouldn't say it, so I wouldn't give her another. She started crying and I kept re-saying it, say please, say please. She still wouldn't. So I just ignored her. She then started crying even harder and threw herself down on the ground. I was so proud of myself, I stayed strong, didn't even look at her completely ignored her and didn't even have an urge to laugh. I'm back!!! Anyway, a little while later I asked her again if she wanted another, but she had to say please. She still wouldn't, she would just say MORE. I said you have to say please first. She started crying again and I ignored her. Well, about 15 minutes later we tried it again. This time she said, "Peas". I got up immediately and was so happy and excited and said yes, YES, YES you said PLEASE!!! And swooped her up and hugged her and gave her a cookie. She had the biggest smile on her face and knew she did good. Then she said please again for another one. It was so cute. She finally got it and she learned she needs to say please or 'peas' when she asks for something! Her first real lesson too!!!

Word of the week
Well, Sophie's new word of the week is 'MINE'. She sure is bossy when she uses it too. She raises her eyebrows and gets this serious look on her face when she says it. Her other favorite word right now is 'NO'. And she says it with pursed lips and drawls it out. Nooooooo

Real Cereal
Sophie is now eating real big girl cereal. She loves it!!! Before she would just be having a waffel for breakfast, but lately she has not been eating very much of her waffel so I decided to buy her a box of Organic Clifford Cereal. We still feed it to her due to mess issues, but she chomps it right down. She loves it and eats the entire bowl.

Manic Monday
Well, nothing was noteworthy yesterday to post, but today was family day again. We all get giddy around here on Family Monday's. It was such a beautiful day also. We should have gotten out and enjoyed it a little more I think, but we had fun spending time together and I always like the extra set of hands around to help.
