Surgery

My baby had surgery today to get his tonsils and adnoids out.
Before surgery he got to play in the toy room.

He did so good. It was quick and easy. They brought him back to the room and he was sitting up looking around. Um...I guess I thought he's be a little bit more drowsy and lathargic. Nope! He was just fine!
He did fall asleep several times throughout the day (like the pict above).

 Visit from bro and sis.

 Loves his sissy.
Nurse Sophie. She was so great caring for him from the second she walked in the room she was getting him drinks and his stuffed doggy and straightening his blankets. She has such a tender heart and caregiver qualities.

Rockbrook Concert

It was such a nice night out tonight, we decided to check out an outdoor concert. We decided on close. Rockbrook Village has outdoor concerts on Fridays over the summer. The kids were good, the weather was actually a bit chilly. Yes, I know it's the END of July, but I was cold (forgot sweater).
 Snuggles!

End of Speech Preschool

Vollen's very last Munroe Meyer speech preschool class was today. They only get to be in the program for 2 years (usually ages 2-4). We didn't quite do two full years (he left last fall to start preschool in Millard), so they let us come back and finish out over the summer. It was nice to see my fellow moms and the teachers again. I wanted to get a picture of Vollen with each of his teachers, but NO, mister was not having it. He did NOT want to get his picture taken and would NOT cooperate with me. I was lucky I got this halfway decent one. Ugh!

Summer Camp Instructor

Today was my first day teaching my Paper Crafting Summer Camp class at Brownell Talbot!!!
I have 7 kids (Sophie included). There are 4 boys and 3 girls. The boys are a little wild. They are a handful. They tend to rush through the projects, only to sit and wait for the others to finish while getting antsy and impatient and then start goofing around. I need a different strategy tomorrow.
Sophie was such a good helper for me today. She is awesome.
We are having fun spending some extra time together!
Some of the projects from the class.
We had lots of fun and got to spend a lot of time together. She was so helpful setting stuff up or cleaning and straightening. My big helper.

Melt. My. Heart.

She secretly grabbed my phone the other morning and went in the other room to record this message for me. I didn't know she did it until she brought the phone back to me and said she had a message for me on it. I LOVE it!!!!!!

Sophie's Doll Hair Tutorial

Sophie has been making these random how-to videos with our phones. She will leave little messages on it for us or just explain how to do something. They are hilarious. I just love watching her. I will upload more on here once I get them done.

My Interview!!!

I was interviewed today about Camp Munroe. First time I have been interviewed on tv! I wish they would have shown Vollen's face. I was happy with the clip they took!

One and only swim in the backyard

This pool.
This pool was a pain in the rear. First of all. It is a pain to blow up. We have a pump, but the hose broke, then we used a tire inflator that hooked up to the car and ended up draining the car battery and had to jump the car and go get a new battery. It still wasn't blown all the way up yet. Then I tried to fix the hose on the first electric inflator and it worked for a little bit and then the hose split because it was old and cracked easily. We barely got it blown up enough for water. Once we finally decided on a place to put it that was flat enough, we filled it up. It was kind of chilly out and not the warmest day of the summer. The kids wanted to get in but it was freezing. They still had fun.

When we got out we noticed that one of the boys had a poopy swim diaper. SO, we had to drain the water and haven't got around to disinfecting and blowing up the pool AGAIN and filling it again. LOT of work for one swim. What a mess.
