Funny Balloon

I just get a kick out of how she says balloon with her tongue going side to side. So funny.

My baby's first haircut!!!

Today I called to get Sophie a hair appointment. We were able to get in right away. I really didn't know what I wanted done, I think I just wanted it not so messy looking. It was kind of long and stragily and just looked gross. So, I took her to Ponytails & Buzzcuts. She did WONDERFUL...not too suprising though when they played her an Elmo DVD and had a cool racecar for her to sit in and 'pretend' drive AND a cape with baby bears on it. I don't even think she knew she got a haircut! It was really fast and I barely feel like we even got our money's worth. She only really got a trim and all the ends evened up. I wanted to take her somewhere for her first haircut so I could see how they do it and get it all even and straight. I might try to do it myself next time and save the money!!! It was fun though to take my big girl to get her first hair cut. She also got to pick out a balloon when we left too.
Here are some 'Before" pictures...

Kind of not fair because this is morning bed head that looks really terrible.

Here she is getting her bear cape on.
The hair stylist, Chellsey. Sophie liked her.
Here she is 'driving' and spinning the wheel of the car.
Watching Elmo and driving.
Getting her locks chopped off.
With her pink balloon after we got home.
And the 'After'. So smooth and silky.
A much cleaner look.
Can't tell that it is a whole lot shorter, she only took off about an inch from the length.
A lock or really just a SPRINKLING of her baby hair.

Sophie's pregnant...

with an Elmo ball!
Daddy stuck this small ball under Sophie's shirt.
She thought it was funny, mommy thought it was more funny!!! I couldn't stop laughing.

Evening at the park

Since she had so much fun last night, I decided to take Sophie to the park by our house tonight.
We were the only ones there, which is good and bad. I started freaking myself out after a while paranoid that someone was going 'get us'.
Sophie had fun and burnt off some energy.
Her favorite is the slide.
Being goofy sitting on the bench.
Weeeeee!

Goopy Goop

After Sophie got up from her nap this morning, I got her dressed for the day and then I got dressed and we came downstairs. Her cheeks have been red and chapped lately and I have ointment for it from the doctor (I call it goopy goop - just cause it's fun to say), but it was upstairs in my bathroom. I had just mentioned that we needed to put some goopy goop on, but mommy forgot it upstairs and I would go get it in a minute. Without me knowing Sophie walked all the way up the stairs and went into my bathroom and knew right where it was and brought it all the way downstairs to me and said, "Here mama, goopy goop"! I was so proud of her and she was sure proud of herself too. She had a big smile on her face!!!

Baby Vollen movin' & groovin'

I have been wanting to 'catch' baby Vollen moving around inside me for a long time. I have always wanted to be able to look back and remember that feeling again because I think it is so incredible, unbelievable, and amazing. I feel sorry for males and women who are unable to have children because they won't ever get to experience this feeling. I am so glad I at least have some record now and hope to get more soon. I will have to try in the evenings, he seems to be really active at night, especially after I eat.

Let go eat dinner...

Done at the park.
Getting too chilly out.
Cousins holding hands.

Swinging

We moved over to the swings.
The higher the better!
Lots of fun!

Sliding at the park

Yesterday at my parents, before dinner, we went out to play at the park.
The girls were having so much fun and barely noticed that the wind was a bit breezy.
Skyler and Sophie going up the slide.
Oh, how we can't wait for Spring to come in full bloom so we can get out to the park more often.

New Background

I have always wanted to build my own background for my blog. I follow this girl, Amanda's blog/websight http://www.kevinandamanda.com/whatsnew/tutorials/how-to-make-a-scrapbook-blog-background.html. She is very creative and has a lot of great FREE fonts, ideas, etc... Anyway, she recently just created some digital scrapbook background papers, buttons, ribbons, etc... AND directions on how to do it. So, I decided that I would use her items to try to make my own background with Photoshop. It was easier than I thought it was going to be and I can't wait to play around with it more and get a little more creative. Tired

Daddy laid down on the couch and sighed and said, "Daddy's tired". Sophie climbed up on him to snuggle and said, "Sophie tired too". We both started laughing and were amazed at how she knew how to use it.

Come it, sit down, relax, and put your feet up!

This is exactly what Sophie decided she wanted to do. She brought the couch pillow in from the other room and two of her babies. She put them 'to bed' on the pillow and then she laid back on Raja and relaxed.
Then she grabbed one of the babies and was snuggling with her while relaxing on Raja. What a funny girl.

Uncle Robby

This morning Sophie was eating yogurt and she said she was done and wanted to get down, I went over to go get her to wash her hands and this is what I saw. I started laughing so hard. I asked her why she had yogurt all the way up by her eyes. I had to grab the camera and take a picture of her face. Goofy girl.
Uncle Robby got off work early and stopped by to say hi to us (his work is really close to our house). Sophie was running around the house saying, "Uncie Robby comin". It was cute. She was so excited to have a visitor stop by.
She had him give her rides around the house in her wagon, and was being really funny with the things she was saying and how she was saying them. It was a good time.

A bunch of random stuff

Last night we went to Burger Star to have dinner before my mom, Abby and I went to the Playhouse. We had never been there before. I liked it more than Vernon did.
At the Playhouse, during one scene the lead lady threw out these carnations to the audience.
Carnations used to be my favorite flower. I still like them, they are just not my favorite. I like more exotic ones now.
Sophie and I went for a walk this evening. It was pretty chilly out, but good to get fresh air and 'execise'. She loves holding the house key for mommy and daddy. She also wanted to bring her new praying baby doll with us on the walk.
I had to get Sophie some walking shoes, she has quite a few casual shoes, but none with great support. Since we are going to be walking a lot, I wanted her to have some good walking shoes to support her tootsies. Thank goodness I found these on sale last week! I don't know who likes them more, her or me! When I first brought them home and put them on her, she did not want to take them off, even at bedtime. She jumped around and wouldn't stop looking at them. It was really cute.
I like that they are plain, normal, sporty looking. I don't care for all those shoes with characters and glitter on them. Do you know how hard it is to find plain ones?!?!

Start off the day with a dance

Daddy and Sophie dancing together this morning.

I think this picture is precious, even though it's blurry.

Father/Daughter Time

Sophie blue riding-hood.
Daddy and Sophie hanging out and dancing last night while mommy was at her staff meeting.
Why does daddy get all the good pictures????
Mine never turn out this cute. : (
